The Music of Bells is a workshop for participants to hear and experience handbell ringing. 11 am to 1 pm.

The Workshop will be run by run by Sandra Winter. Sandra is very experienced in running these events and it will be 'open to all'. Age or disability will be no bar to anyone coming to enjoy learning the art.

Over the weekend the All Saints Bell Tower will also be open at various times with bellringing and also a display.

BIOGRAPHY: Arnfinn Tobiassen is in his final year as a Postgraduate student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where his professors have included David Titterington, James O’Donnell, Susan Landale and Lionel Rogg.
Last October he won the 15th International Competition for Young Organists in Opava, Czech Republic, competing against 30 organists from all over Europe. From September Arnfinn will combine a busy recital schedule with the George Oldroyd Organ Scholarship at St Michael’s Church, Croydon, and the post as Assistant organist at the Dutch Church in the City of London.
Arnfinn is currently Organ Scholar at St Paul's Knightsbridge.

WANDLE VALLEY FESTIVAL

Wandle Valley Festival - The Church will be open on Saturday and Sunday to enable visitors to visit and explore the treaures in the Church.

The Wandle Valley Festival is being run by London Borough of Sutton Heritage department.

On Saturday 23rd June the Church will be open from 10am to 5pm.
There will be displays and history talks. The bell tower will be open to visitors. There will be an organist playing during Saturday afternoon.
Refreshments will be served all day.

On Sunday 24th June the Church will be open for normal services on Sunday morning at 8am, 9.30am and 10.30am (High Mass), but will also be open to visitors from 2pm to 6pm. Sung Evensong will be at 6.30pm.

Hermitage Ensemble - UK TOUR

Russian all Male choir on a UK tour in 2007 will perform a variety of music from the Russian Orthodox tradition and also some folk songs.

Male choir Hermitage consists of professional singers each having a relevant wide musical education. In their homeland they are engaged as soloists in operas and in concerts.

The vocalist ensemble see it as their goal to keep up the Russian traditions of Church music and bring motets of the Eastern Church closer to western people. Therefore, the program consists of liturgical motets and psalms. The program also includes various folk songs.

Refreshments will be served.

Bible Reading - for Lent

Gary Miles is reading from the New Testament starting with the Gospel according to St Matthew.

On the first four Saturdays of Lent Gary Miles is reading from the Gospels.

This will take place from 10.30 am. to 11.30 am. on Saturday 24th February and on Saturdays 3rd, 10th & 17th March 2007 at the same time.

You can come and listen to Gary reading. You do not have to stay for the full hour.

Entrance to All Saints Church will be from the North door (opposite the ponds) or the South door which is approached from the Churchyard side of the Church.

Gary is asking people to sponsor his reading in aid of the Organ Appeal.

If you are willing to sponsor him, there will be forms in Church.

Kingdom Come - The Life of Christ by Eric Petrossian

The actor, Eric Petrossian, presents his 'one-man' Bible story of the Life of Christ, being the narrator and all the characters, taking us through all four Gospels using the NIV translation.

This will appeal to all as Eric is an excellent actor who has also played comedy roles alongside Peter Kay and Ricky Gervais.

An International actor, Eric Petrossian has performed in many locations, having played Jesus in a Passion play on Good Friday 2004 in Leicester City Centre to a crowd of over 4,000.

He has had excellent reviews for his many performances of this portayal in Churches and Cathedrals.

Entrance is free.

Peter Griggs

American guitarist Peter Griggs, on a UK tour, will present the programme "500 Years of Music for Guitar"

Peter will provide a chronological tour of the modern guitarist's repertoire from the Renaissance to the Contemporary, with music by John Dowland, J.S. Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Ferdinando Carulli, Erik Satie, Bartolome Calatuyud, George Gershwin, Thelonious Monk, Baden Powell and Lou Harrison - as well as his own compositions.
